Abstract

This essay explores contemporary psychogeography as an urban ethnographic tool to think of the city from the embodied and situated experience of walking. Based on a theoretical reflection, it is proposed that urban fragments exhibit multiple ontologies: they can be tourist resources, heritage assets or lived places loaded with memory and affection. The essay brings a subjective turn that articulates the material and the affective in a conversation scenario between the subject who transits and the space through which it does, deepening the emotional bonds that are generated between both, based on the concept of topophilia, hodology and poetics of space.
