Thematic Coverage The journal publishes articles, discussions, conferences, publication news, and reviews in the field of social and cultural anthropology. Works encompass the theoretical, methodological, and thematic diversity of the anthropological discipline, including ethnographic research, theoretical debates, methodological reflections, and analyses of contemporary cultural processes.
Target Audience Ensamblajes is aimed at students of Social and/or Cultural Anthropology at any academic level (undergraduate diploma, bachelor's degree, master's degree, and doctorate), as well as predoctoral researchers, educators, and professionals interested in emerging anthropological production from the Ibero-American region.
The journal ENSAMBLAJES is published by the Network of Anthropology Students of Ibero-America (REAdI). Founded in 2024, it is published biannually. All texts undergo a rigorous quality process through peer review evaluation. Contributions are accepted in the different languages of Ibero-America: Spanish, Portuguese, Catalan, Basque, Galician, Aymara, Guaraní, Mayan languages, Mapudungun, Nahuatl, Nahuat, Quechua, or Rapa Nui.
About the journal's name ENSAMBLAJES refers to heterogeneous processes of creation and reconfiguration. Like foams, they are territorial in the sense that they are anchored in specific cultural places, but they are also relational, as they are nourished by interactions between diverse individuals and cultures. They are diverse by nature, reflecting the multiplicity of establishments and experiences that converge in algorithmic agency. Thus, the journal aims to reflect the cultural processes that emerge from specific contexts to showcase the academic diversity we build as students and predoctoral researchers.
The contents of Ensamblajes journal are archived and permanently preserved on the journal's servers, ensuring continuous access and long-term preservation.

Evaluation and Selection Process
All manuscripts received follow a two-phase selection procedure:
1. Preliminary editorial review: The editorial team verifies that the work complies with the journal's formatting standards, fits within its thematic scope, and is original. At this stage, all submissions to Ensamblajes are subjected to systematic originality checks using plagiarism detection tools.
2. Blind peer review: Manuscripts that pass the previous phase undergo a "blind peer review" or Blind Peer Review process. This means that the identities of both the reviewers and the author are mutually hidden throughout the evaluation process. The review team consists of volunteers from different institutions, being a team independent of the journal's editorial team.
In the case of receiving two contradictory opinions on the same manuscript, the editorial team will request a third evaluation, which may include the journal's scientific director.
Exception: In cases where the journal's Editorial Team decides to publish works resulting from internal processes in which an evaluation process has already been carried out, this policy does not apply. However, the result of that evaluation will be indicated in the publication.
All submissions to Ensamblajes are subjected to systematic originality checks using plagiarism detection tools.
Publication Frequency
The journal has a biannual periodicity, publishing during the second half of June and the second half of December. However, if the number of accepted articles is exceptionally large, an extraordinary volume may be published.

Originality
Submitted works must be original and unpublished, meaning they must not have been previously published nor be under review by other journals simultaneously. Manuscripts that have been deposited in institutional repositories or preprint servers are accepted, provided that this circumstance is indicated at the time of submission.
Publication Fees
ENSAMBLAJES does not charge fees for submission of works, nor does it charge fees for the publication of its articles.
